We participated to another amazing Festival

We had the pleasure of participating in another wonderful festival.

We are incredibly grateful to have been invited to such a creative event, and it was a true pleasure to be part of it.

The festival took place over five days, from 26 June to 1 July, across Studio THOR and Infini Theatre. During the day, the programme featured dance workshops open to participants of all levels, while the evenings were dedicated to performances, concerts, and a wide range of artistic propositions.

Our participation took place on 29 June at Studio THOR in Saint-Josse. The aim was to bring a more collective, accessible, and alternative energy into a more conventional cultural space.

One of the most interesting aspects of the event was the transformation of the theatre lobby into a vibrant meeting place filled with informative stands representing political, gender-based, cultural, and community associations. The idea was to encourage conversations with visitors, invite them to engage in various activities, exchange ideas and perspectives, and support artists, organisations, and their initiatives.

Our contribution focused on opening a dialogue around our work and sharing our perspective on the relationship between the body and the presence of people in public space. Through these discussions, we explored topics such as gentrification, the commodification of public space, privatisation, and the social and political dimensions of urban environments.

To facilitate these conversations, we brought our book and CITY SECRETS cards. Through an interactive game, we invited participants to connect our illustrations with different social, economic, political, architectural, and urban issues. The activity encouraged people to reflect, discuss, and interpret the themes from their own perspectives.

We were amazed by how curious, engaged, and open people were. It was inspiring to see visitors not only interested in our work but also eager to question it, expand upon it, and even adopt some of its ideas in their own way.

It was a fantastic event, and we enjoyed every single moment of being part of it. We are thankful to everyone who stopped by, shared their thoughts, and made the experience so meaningful.
